  • Overview

The Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC Linear gauge allows you to represent data on a linear scale easily. The component is incredibly useful for illustrating progress towards a goal, the current value status within a range of upper and lower bounds or a summary of some fluctuating metric.

  • Scale Options

The Linear gauge has three scale options:
    • Orientation – either vertical or horizontal
    • Labels – display labels on the side or go without any
    • Ranges – display ranges on the gauge making it easier for users to see when a value is above average

  • Multiple pointers

Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC Linear gauge component supports multiple pointers so that several data values can be displayed at once on the same scale. This might come in handy in many scenarios, one example would be a thermometer showing the current temperature, along with the minimum and maximum temperature forecasted for that day.

  • Export to PDF, Image or SVG

After customizing the Linear gauge and adjusting the pointer values to display the data you need, you can easily export the gauge to a PDF document, a PNG image or and SVG file.
  • Complete Client-Side Rendering

The ASP.NET MVC Gauges render completely on the client-side, using HTML5 Canvas or the SVG element specification to deliver itself to the user. These standards are widely supported in modern browsers, but the Gauge component has a fallback to VML for older browsers (IE 7/8).
  • Server- and Client-Side API for Max Flexibility

Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC comes with a complete server-side API. With simple API calls, you can configure all features of the MVC Gauges. Since the server wrappers output the JavaScript, you also have full access to the client-side API for maximum control in the browser.

  • LinearGauge Theming

You can style the LinearGauge with the help of the multiple built-in themes and swatches the component comes with. Explore the Default (our own styling), Material (based on the Material Design guidelines), Bootstrap (which resembles the Bootstrap styling to integrate better) and Fluent (based on Microsoft Fluent UI) themes and choose the swatch that best suits your application.

You can easily customize the available themes with a few lines of CSS or create a new one with the Progress SASS ThemeBuilder application to meet your client’s design requirements.
