Overview
Display a collection of individual ASP.NET MVC Chip components and manage them by adding or removing items and maintaining the selected chips. Use the Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC ChipList component for single or multiple selections based on the specific requirement, e.g., if you need to include the option to add one or more additions to an ordered meal.

Appearance
A predefined set of appearance options is available for you to choose from to modify the look and feel of the ChipList component based on your brand needs and visual preferences. Effortlessly configure the size of the chips in the ChipList or the spacing between them.

Selection Mode
Benefit from the selection mode feature in the Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC ChipList component, which allows you to configure single or multiple selections. Display a read-only list if such is needed by disabling the selection option entirely.

Disabled ChipList
Disable the entire ChipList component if the scenario requires it, leveraging a single configuration option. This is useful in cases where you need to limit user’s interaction with the ASP.NET MVC ChipList items.

Customization
The Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC ChipList is built on top of the ASP.NET MVC Chip component. This means that the customization options available in the Chip component are also present in the ChipList. These include customizing the style and the color of the component, adding a close or delete icon or avatar and images to the ChipList items.

Events
Allowing smooth interaction with the component, the Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC ChipList component exposes different events related to user interaction:
- Select event: fires when the user changes a Chip selection in the ChipList
- Remove event: fires when the user clicks the Remove icon of the Chip.

ChipList Theming
The Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC ChipList component has several built-in themes such as Default (our own styling), Material (based on the Material Design guidelines), Bootstrap (which looks like the Bootstrap styling) and Fluent (based on Microsoft Fluent UI).
You can easily customize any of out-of-the-box themes with a few lines of CSS, or create new theme to match your colors and branding by using Progress ThemeBuilder.
