  • Tabs

The tab items displayed in the title bar can utilize various shapes and also can include, close and pin buttons, text, icons and variety of other elements as well, providing you with various customization options.  Each of the tabs is associated with a separate container holding the actual tab content thus creating a separate view.

  • Title Bar Settings

The Tabbed Form`s title bar can be completely customized via a convenient API exposing several properties affecting the layout of the tabs. The entire title bar`s height is also adjustable, so are the tab widths and heights, as well as the tab spacing. The form also supports the standard Windows title bar style, in other words the tabs can be painted in the default title bar.
  • Quick Actions

The control features two item containers positioned before and after the tabs, which allow addition of different elements such as different buttons, checkboxes, dropdowns and any other RadElements. These elements can be used as quick actions for expositing additional functionality.

  • Pinned Items

Not all tabs are created equal. The end-users of your application can pin one or more tabs to the header. The pin position can also be specified to left or right.

  • Drag and Drop Support

Through the drag and drop functionality, users can easily reorder the tabs as well as  detach tabs into a separate window or attach them back to the TabbedForm, just like in Chrome and other web browsers. The drag reorder functionality also features a convenient Preview and Immmediate modes to visually reorder the tabs during the reorder operation or to display a hint where the tab will be placed after the mouse button is released.

  • Design Time Support

The TabbedForm control provides design-time support functionality enabling you to add tabs at design time and utilize the Smart Tag of the control to adjust its settings.

  • Context Menu

A built-in context menu for the tabs exposes the most commonly used operations such as adding new tab, pinning, and various close operations. Needless to say that the whole menu is entirely customizable so the existing items be modified or new ones can be added.

  • The built-in navigation functionality handles the cases where there is not enough space to show the tabs, by enabling convenient buttons so the user can navigate the available tabs.

  • Localization

The control features a localization provider dealing with the text of the default context menu items.

  • Appearance

The controls are shipped with a rich set of pixel-perfect themes that allow you to easily build slick interfaces with the look-and-feel of Windows 8, Office 2010, Office 2013, Metro, etc. The themes can be easily switched using a single property. You can tweak existing themes or build a new theme from scratch to fit your exact visual demands by using the Visual Style Builder productivity tool. A well-thought light element tree allows for easy and intuitive styling.

The DropDownList and ListControl are also capable of displaying images, text, multiline text, and rich text by using standard HTML tags, such as <i>, <b>, and <u>.

Telerik DropDownList supports a variety of expand animation styles for a great user experience. You can select among predefined drop down animations and further customize them to fit your scenario.
