Telerik UI for WinForms

Roadmap

What's Coming in 2021?

We are excited to announce our plans for Telerik UI for WinForms with the upcoming 2022 releases.

We want to thank you for the continuous support and encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas for what next you would like to see developed in the WinForms suite in our dedicated feedback portal.

Telerik UI for WinForms

TreeMap

New component

Tree maps are perfect for displaying large sets of hierarchically structured data. The space in the visualization is divided into rectangles that are sized and ordered by a quantitative variable.

The levels in the hierarchy of the tree map are visualized as rectangles containing other rectangles. Each set of rectangles on the same level in the hierarchy represents a column or an expression in a data table. Each individual rectangle on a level in the hierarchy represents a category in a column.

StepProgressBar

New component
This might not exactly look like a bar, however it functions as one, by showing and tracking progress through a cascade of steps. The control can be used to display the progress of new user registrations, tracking and status of packages and many other ways.

TimeBar

New component
The control allows lightweight scrolling and navigation through large periods of time and can host other controls and integrate with them to create powerful dashboards.

Office NavigationBar

New component
The peek navigation was introduced in Outlook for the first time and we’re planning on adding it to out suite.

New VS 2022 Theme

New feature
We’re excited to be adding a brand new Visual Studio 2022-inspired theme to our rich set of themes, which will help you modernize your application.

RichTextBox: Shapes support

New feature
Everyone’s favorite text editor is getting a new feature. The Telerik UI for WinForms RichTextBox will hopefully allow users to easily insert shapes like circles, boxes, arrows, and others directly into documents.

VirtualGrid: Load-On-Demand self-reference hierarchy support

New feature
With this functionality rather than loading all the data from a self-reference hierarchy at once, you can load the data only when it is needed.
