We plan on adding smarter ways to interact with the DataGrid. This will allow performing actions like sorting, filtering, and grouping through intuitive prompts and commands, making data manipulation faster and more natural than ever before.
Building on the new Telerik CLI, we will introduce a streamlined CLI-based onboarding experience for the WinForms suite. Developers will be able to quickly set up projects, configure environments, and handle initial setup steps such as licensing. This will significantly reduce startup time and enable a smoother path to first value.
We will continue our efforts on UI Automation and extend support for multiple controls, such as RichTextEditor, ListView, CheckedListBox and more. This will improve accessibility compliance and enable better integration with assistive technologies. It will also enhance automated testing capabilities.
This year we will also be adding a SmartPaste button to our WinForms UI suite that enables intelligent data entry by mapping unstructured content - such as emails, documents, or external data sources - into structured UI fields. This will reduce repetitive manual input and minimize errors during data entry.
Microsoft will end support for .NET 8 and .NET 9 in November 2026. In line with this lifecycle, we will discontinue support for the Telerik UI for WinForms distributions targeting these versions. While the current .NET 8/9 distributions are compatible with .NET 10, we will introduce a dedicated .NET 10 distribution once .NET 8 and .NET 9 reach end of support to ensure continued reliability and long‑term stability.
This transition allows developers to confidently move forward with .NET 10 or later and benefit from the latest platform enhancements, performance improvements, and security updates. By November 2026, we will also provide full support for the official .NET 11 release.
