2024 Q4 Release Overview

The 2024 Q4 Telerik and Kendo UI release continues to lead the market with the most comprehensive toolset for modern-looking user experiences—from professionally designed building blocks and customization tools to rich components’ functionality with support for the newest frameworks.

The highlight of this release lies in its enablement of design operations. Over seventy brand-new Page Templates and Building blocks—preconfigured with Telerik UI for Blazor, Kendo UI for Angular and KendoReact components embedded—are a continuation of Progress’ efforts to help teams build beautiful apps fast no matter if they have a dedicated design team or not. While these new tools will be of great help to developers working without designer support, they can also be easily integrated in design systems as ready-to-go reusable assets. With this release, we also announce a valuable change to ThemeBuilder, Progress’ popular UI styling app. Apart from providing seamless support for the newly released Building Blocks, the Progress ThemeBuilder app can be used to style any custom HTML or to convert Figma components to HTML, making it the one tool you can use to unify all styling and customization work for your project and avoid tedious CSS work.

Providing day-zero support for the latest technologies and integrating with popular frameworks ensures that our components and UI libraries leverage the most recent improvements and optimizations. With 2024 Q4 Progress ensures day-zero support for .NET 9, compatibility with Angular 19, support for Angular hybrid Standalone components and KendoReact first-class integration with Astro for a seamless development experience when crafting the modern-looking UI.

Additionally, with this release teams can satisfy complex requirements with a variety of new UI components such as the Chart Wizard control in Kendo UI, DataPager and GridSplitter controls in Telerik UI for .NET MAUI, PDFViewer annotations, CSP-compliant Spreadsheet for enhanced security, plus modern and accessible reporting experience.
