Overview

Accessing the Visual Studio Extensions

Creating a Project Using a Project Template
Project templates are available with the installation of Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC. If you have downloaded a manual zip distribution and want to use it instead, you can easily do that by browsing the folder you have unpacked it to.

Using the Upgrade Wizard
When upgrading to a new version of Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC, you normally have to replace a number of assembly references. Now this is much easier and faster thanks to the Upgrade Wizard. You simply select the new distribution and the assemblies your project uses get preselected in the assembly list. You also have the option to create a backup of your existing project before the actual upgrade is performed.

You can easily convert your current MVC project to a Telerik project in order to jump-start using the Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC. The Visual Studio Extensions automatically upgrade any external application to become an application of the Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC with its necessary settings.
