Overview

Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC offer a set of three configurable components exposing popular date selection UI by means of calendar/time popup attached to date input: DatePicker, TimePicker and DateTimePicker. When you have the necessity of parsing human-readable, relative dates, enable keyboard navigation or expose validation, our date and time pickers deliver these capabilities on the fly. What is more, you can enjoy features, such as smooth jQuery animations, globalization and right-to-left support.

• DatePicker

  The Telerik DatePicker for ASP.NET MVC powers your apps with the most widely used date selection interface for web scenarios - by means of calendar attached to date input.

• Date Parsing

  You can enter any number or string in the input field of DatePicker and the entered value will be transformed to a valid date.  For example, if you type “1”, the first day of the month will be shown after leaving the input field. If you type “Monday”, the corresponding date of the current week will be selected.

• Keyboard Navigation

  The Date and Time Picker extensions support the standard browser navigation paradigm. For example, you can tab across the page elements to reach the DatePicker element and open its calendar pop-up, then close it pressing the [Enter] key. You can use the [Tab]/[Shift+Tab] keys to navigate forward/backward.
