I'm investigating what test framework my team will use for the foreseeable future.  We are currently using the art of test, in general i've had mixed results with it.  Going snooping around on the Microsoft and other related sites for Silverlight it seems to me that Silver light has some level of UI Automation support.  UI Automation is what i'm use to and liked the ability to have event waiters for nearly anything you might need, does have the Telerik controls and WebAii will allow using event waiters?  Or you don't because Microsoft doesn't allow exposing them from Silverlight?

Thanks in advance.

I have a site that uses the google type filtering in a RadComboBox but when creating a test plan, the combobox does not stay open when the text input is inserted.  My site requires the item to be selected with a mouse click to pass verification but since the combobox will not open, it fails.  This is only an issue when using the test automation, it does not happen in a regular browser window.  How would I set this up in Test Studio w/o VS?

I don't know if I'm missing something, or making the wrong assumption, but I'm having trouble getting my recorded test to click on a button if the screen zooming of the browser changes.

Let's say I record a test with the browser set to 100% zoom. I record the step "Click on THIS button."

Now I'll run my test with the same browser, but set to 75% zoom. The button to be tested is now in a different place on the screen. My test actually selects a DIFFERENT button - and then fails.

Is there a way to get the test to select a particular button no matter where it is on the screen? I don't think that my test should fail simply because I changed the zoom on my browser.

Hi,

I'm trying right now the Trial version on my desktop machine, but I want to know, the following questions:

Can I install WEbUI on a server machine? How many machines can access the WebUi at the same time if WebUi is in a server?  Do I need several licenses for that users?

And, about stress and load testing feature, it will be included in the future?

Thank you,
Cody

I have also submitted ticket #420287 since I was not sure where to post the issue. I would really appreciate if you could respond as soon as possible.
We have 3 radcombo boxes
Issue: When executing the test, radcombobox or radtogglebutton are not found and the test fails.

1)      First of all we cannot locate radcombo box.

2)      There is no verify exist on radcombo box.
3)      How do we select item from RadComboBox. We tried creating a coded step to select the item from the RadCombo box (using SelectItem method in the Radcombo box API) but it didn’t work.

Thank You,
QA

Hello, I am running the trial version of Test Studio. Trying to record a test on my app, I cannot select any element. If I turn on highlighting, I see the box and blue button displaced about five centimeters to the left and three centimeters down the actual element, so I have not the chance to click on the blue button or select the element.

I am using WEB UI test studio with Vs2010 & recording/playing Webaii tests. The script is not aborting automatically and log is not generated when Webaiitest has been failed. I need to abort it manually again. When Webaiitest is passed script is giving the log.It is happening only with failing scripts. Please help in providing solution for this issue.
