I'm investigating what test framework my team will use for the foreseeable future.  We are currently using the art of test, in general i've had mixed results with it.  Going snooping around on the Microsoft and other related sites for Silverlight it seems to me that Silver light has some level of UI Automation support.  UI Automation is what i'm use to and liked the ability to have event waiters for nearly anything you might need, does have the Telerik controls and WebAii will allow using event waiters?  Or you don't because Microsoft doesn't allow exposing them from Silverlight?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Dan,

By "event waiters" do you mean hooking into the Silverlight Event Handlers? We currently have not implemented this feature, but we might someday in the future.

Best wishes,

Hi Dan,

We don't have built-in special support for UI automation events and don't currently have any plans to included in our product roadmap. At the same time you shouldn't need any special support to utilize them. Our tests support coded steps in which you can do anything you want that can be done in a .NET programming language (i.e. C# or VB.NET). There's nothing stopping you or blocking you from coding up your own UI automation event handlers within coded tests of a Test Studio test giving you all of the advantages of both worlds at the same time.

Kind regards,
Cody
