It is our pleasure to announce the immediate availability of the new product line that joins the broad Telerik portfolio - Telerik SharePoint Acceleration Kit (SAK). + = Leveraging the industry-leading Telerik AJAX and Silverlight components and hassle-free SharePoint 2010 web parts which expose codeless point-and-click configuration, implementing high-performing and interactive SharePoint applications is no-brainer with Telerik SAK either for developers, business users or managers. Following the Telerik AJAX Product Support Lifecycle model (which closely resembles the Microsoft one), the time has come to retire the .NET 2.0 support for our AJAX controls. This will happen officially with the Q1 2011 release of the suite, slated in a couple of weeks, meaning that you will no longer receive .NET 2.0 versions of the Telerik AJAX assemblies, projects or VS 2005 integration as part of the installation packs. With this step the .NET 2 versions of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX available in previous releases will enter their extended (paid) support phase as shown in the diagram from...
As some of you may have already seen in our roadmap, we are about to release a brand new AJAX RadRibbonBar control with Q1 2011. In fact, we released a Q1 2011 beta with a preview of this control and live demos almost a week ago. I will describe here what the control looks like, does and will do in the final release. Some forewords,or the importance of the KISS principle We all know that Microsoft's Ribbon control is quite complex and requires its rendering to be flexible to allow execution of its resizing features and overall presentation. This is the reason...
Q1 2011 will be a major milestone release for Telerik Open Access ORM, your .NET data programming and SQL expert. The new release will bring serious design-time improvements which will help you to work with data in an easier and more intuitive manner. A new fully featured project upgrade tool will allow you to upgrade even more classic projects to the new OpenAccess context API. The code-only developers will embrace the updated Fluent Mapping API, which exposes over 90% of OpenAccess' functionality. Finally, a project converter from Entity Framework will allow you to switch to Telerik OpenAccess in a few...
You’ve talked and we’ve listened: as of Beta 2 release of RadControls for Windows Phone 7 the RadTimePicker and RadDatePicker controls support null-value. In other words, you will be able to set the current value to null and display a custom message to your users informing them that there is no value selected in the control at the time: this.radTimePicker1.Value = null; this.radTimePicker1.EmptyContent = "Select time"; There are also two additional properties which are used in this context: EmptyContent – defining the content that will be displayed to the user when there is no value selected in the control EmptyContentTemplate – defining how the empty content will...
It’s kind of getting a tradition for us here at Telerik to celebrate the important for us moments with our favorite .NET Ninja character. It’s absolutely logical that we would like to do it again for the upcoming first for this year major release. That’s why we decided to warm you up for the several surprises coming with Q1 2011 with this cool .NET Ninja Throwing Stars Game. You might not feel comfortable being seen playing games on the workplace, but I bet nobody in your company will mind you netting some cash from this particular game. It will turn...
We are happy to announce the immediate availability of our

. Along with numerous bug fixes and further polish of the suite we are also introducing several cool new features, namely:

Q1'11will definitely be huge to RadControls for WinForms! First, it will be the first 3rd party component suite to offer Microsoft Active Accessibility (MSAA) and Coded UI test support, which by itself is huge enough. Second, it will introduce a brand new control - RadWizard. Third, it will offer two major improvements to RadScheduler for WinForms, which will cover in this blog. And, if this isn't enough, we will also give you a brand new version of our TreeView control (which we will cover in a blog next week, so stay tuned). The two major improvements of RadScheduler for WinForms will surely...
