    Telerik @ TechEd 2011 - Day 1 Recap

We were expecting TechEd in Atlanta will be a blast, and Day 1 proves it. The new shiny Telerik booth was overwhelmed by hundreds of developers who wanted to talk to us (thank you for stopping by booth #409!), and check what Telerik has in the store for them this year.   Official Unveiling of Two New Developer Tools for Decompiling (free) and Profiling We officially unveiled two new products during TechEd (see interview of Todd Anglin by Michael Desmond in Visual Studio Magazine here): JustDecompile -- a free decompiling productivity tool designed to enable easy .NET assembly browsing and decompiling; JustTrace -- a developer tool, which enables you...

Twitter Chat on JustDecompile – Join the Beta Conversation!

At TechEd North America 2011 yesterday, we officially announced the Beta launch of JustDecompile – a powerful .NET decompiler, which we are committed to keeping free, forever, for everyone. Since the pre-launch two weeks ago, when we unveiled the very first Beta version, we have witnessed enormous interest in JustDecompile as the community has acclaimed Telerik for stepping up and providing a free .NET decompiler to fill a very conspicuous market gap. Naturally, with enormous interest, come a lot of questions, too. Thus, due to popular demand, we have organized a Twitter chat to get all of your questions answered. Join the...

Migrating Reflector’s Lists to JustDecompile ones

If you (like me) were a heavy Reflector user you will probably like the tool that I’m going to share with you today. It is a very simple WPF application that allows you to migrate your existing Reflector's list to their JustDecompile equivalents. Usage is pretty straight forward. You just™ point the app to your Reflector’s installation folder and it will take care of the rest. You can download the tool here. Any feedback: bugs and feature requests is more than welcome. Let's finish with a rhyme: Let the force of a freely decompiled source guide you in your course. ...

Sitefinity gets plenty of attention at London Internet World 2011

Sitefinity’s booth was immensely popular at the 3-day Internet World exhibition which took place in London from 10-12 May 2011. The Telerik team had the chance to demo the sleek interface of Sitefinity CMS to all interested visitors and speak to a great number of prospective clients and partners. A highlight of the event was Gabe Sumner’s session on WYSIWYG Text Editors, as well as the iPad2 the Sitefinity team raffled at the event.

    Windows Phone 7 MVVM #2 - RadJumpList

After finishing the previous post, I realize something important – I would rather use RadJumpList than RadDataBoundListBox for my navigation in this application, simply because the “People Hub” type of experience is much cooler than a plain old listbox, regardless of how impressive the performance is.  We are also going to reconsider our MyItem and turn it into something a little more exciting – MyMVVMItem!  This will allow us to do add every new demo as an individual item, complete with a field for grouping, a friendly name, and a backing field for the name of the page that we...

Integrating Silverlight Data Visualization controls with WCF RIA Services

Hello everyone! There are several blogposts which demonstrate how to bind RadControls to an SQL database using WCF RIA services. This one will show how the Data Visualization controls can be bound to а sample database with RIA services. For this sample a combination of RadTimeBar and RadLinearSparkline is used without code behind modifications or ViewModel. Changing the selection of TimeBar’s time span updates the “Flight Statistics” and “Arrivals and Departures statistics” charts. The Bar Chart is populated with the number of Arrivals per Date (as being selected) and the Pie shows the Total of the Arrivals/Departures for the chosen...
