Looking Back and Ahead at the Telerik Test Studio Webinar 870x220

The latest updates from Telerik® Test Studio® are here, adding more mobile features and other enhancements. Learn about what’s new and find out more in an upcoming webinar.

If you’ve been busy being depressed around Blue Monday or simply have been buried in mundane daily tasks, you probably missed the first Telerik Test Studio update of the year that we launched a few days ago. That’s a big miss, especially if you are into mobile app development and/or testing.

Last year Test Studio added support for recording tests for native iOS and Android apps, and with this release you are now able to code your own mobile test steps. The product team has always been keen to keep Test Studio a truly flexible and extensible test automation platform. For us it was really important to give you the freedom to easily create code files behind each test and execute portions of the code as steps, supplementing the recorded tests with coded custom logic.

Also, now you can create helper classes as code items in your mobile testing project. They’re not bound to a specific test, which allows you to add reusable methods to perform common functions referred to from all your mobile tests.

Expanding Test Studio Mobile functionality is not the only thing we did for this product update. Whether you are a Test Studio rookie or have used the solution for years, we hope you’ll find all the new additions useful, and as always we hope to get your feedback on how we can further improve things. In short, we added on-boarding help notifications and contextual tips to help you make the most of Test Studio as early as possible. The helpers will point you to useful product features, videos and related documentation articles. We are dedicated to expanding and enhancing the in-product guidance with the coming releases, so please tell us what you need.
