First I was wondering if there had been any updates to the process of testing tooltips since this thread: http://www.telerik.com/automated-testing-tools/community/forums/test-studio/general-discussions/how-can-i-test-tooltips.aspx. My main concern is verifying that they appear at all. Secondary would be checking for specific text and/or tags.

I also wanted to ask about testing Fancyboxes (http://fancyapps.com/fancybox/). For these I would need to verify that they appear, as well as content.

Hi Shimmoril,

Thanks for trying Test Studio. Using the Test Studio user interface, you can verify the underlying element property (for example, the 'title' attribute), which the browser is using to generate the tool tip. To verify the tool tip behavior itself, you will need to use a coded step as per our documentation.

As for the FancyBox, I was able to build verifications against the light box element generated by the examples at http://fancyapps.com/fancybox/. If the content is an image, you could build verifications against its attributes or record an image verification against the image.

Please let us know if we can assist you further.

All the best,
