A silly little test script i automated with reuse in mind is configured with Close Browser as false (duh).
But, whenever i run it (with the intention of recording the next script) it closes the browser.
What gives?

Hello Avraham

When you run the test script back it plays what you have recorded and then finishes the test which involves closing the browser down etc.

If you want to play through the test and continue recording you have 2 options:

Option 1) right click on the last step and select play to here, then you can continue recording.

Option 2) start recording, pause recording, manually get to the last step and then unpause recording.

Hope this helps,
Tom

Tom,
Please consider that i am a novice...
My goal is to have separate tests, one for login and one (actually, lots more than one) after the login.
I don't quite see how this process would separate the tests and enable me to run the login then (something else) without the login test closing the browser.
Again, i AM a novice
Thanks

Hello Avraham,

Have you tried the TestAsStep feature? It is especially helpful in login scenarios where all the tests will need to first login then perform some more actions/verifications. Just embed the login steps in a test and use that as test as step (look for the "Test as Step" button in the Record View on the right).
