Team,

Am trying to automate Silverlight application. Application contains photos. when we clicked on photo, will get one more photo. All actions and verification are recorded into test but while run the same testing its giving error.


Failure Information: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Unable to locate element. Details: Attempting to find [Silverlight] element using Find logic  (Html): [id 'Exact' silverlightControlHost] AND [tagname 'Exact' div][tagname 'Exact' object] (Silverlight): [name 'Exact' LayoutRoot] AND [XamlTag 'Exact' grid][XamlPath 'Exact' /image[4]]Unable to locate element. Search failed!


Please find the attachments and do needful.

 

 

System configuration :

 

QA web UI - Telerik.WebUI.TestStudio.QA.2010.3.1607_Trial.msi

 

OS – Windows XP Professional, service pack 2.

 

Microsoft Silverlight - Version: 4.0.60310.0

Hi Vin,
    does your application have dynamic IDs? Check out this KB article:
http://www.telerik.com/automated-testing-tools/support/kb/working-around-dynamically-generated-id-attributes.aspx

You can try recording the failing step in order to generate a new, updated Find Expression for the element.

   I'm not sure I understand you correctly. Would you please clarify exactly what you mean?

You can add Verifications for your Silverlight element by highlighting it and choosing a Verification from the popup menu as seen here:
