Hello everyone,

I have a problem with some test in the Telerik Test Studio Utimate. In some typing test runs, some characters are not entered in the input.
See the attachment.

On the typing step, have you tried checking the box for SimulateRealTyping?  That was what fixed things for me.  JC.

Hi Nilton,

I am sorry to hear you have faced such inconsistent execution behavior.

Though, thanks to the short video I think I know what is causing the issue. The page under test gets refreshed from time to time when new elements are added - probably these refresh actions are triggered by Ajax calls to the server.

Such a refresh is being also triggered while Test Studio executes the typing action and thus part of the string disappears.

So, here is what you can do to handle the particular occurrence:

1. Enable the Ajax timeout for the step which clicks on the New record button. You can set this to 10000 as it will not actually slow down the execution, but will wait only until the Ajax call is returned.

2. If still the above suggestion does not help or cannot handle all situations, you can insert a short execution delay before the typing step.

I hope these directions will help you sort out the case and find the most suitable solution for you. In case of further questions, please let me know.

P.S. Hey, JC, thanks very much for your input and immediate reaction to response - I really appreciate it.

Regards,
Elena
