Hi,

  I got a problem! When i use LaunchNewBrowser() method to launch a new browser, a TimeoutException is thrown.
How can i resolve this problem? My enviroment is VS2008SP1 with IE7.

Hello Jerry,

Thanks for your trial of WebUI QA Edition and I'm sorry you ran into this problem. Just to confirm, was any previous WebUI Test Studio version ever installed on this machine? Please let us know since there maybe left over components still installed that could be causing this problem.

If the above is not true, please try configuring your machine according to the following videos for the version of Windows you have: Vista, XP, Server 03/08. For Windows 7, it's the same as Vista except turning UAC off completely for Windows 7 as described in this link.

If that does not work, did you install WebUI with a user account that is part of the Admin Group for the machine? If not, WebUI may not have installed completely, so you can try uninstalling then re-installing with an Admin Account.
