Happy New Year to whoever reads this!
I am looking for any information that may exist on Test Studio's support for HTML5 applications. I am particularly interested in support for AngularJS implementations - but information on support for other frameworks would also be welcome.
Here are a few of the questions I have at this point (may have more later):
a) What is the minimum version of Test Studio that supports HTML5? What is the recommended version?
b) Extent of support - what features does it support and what features does it not support? Known Issues and Limitations in the features supported?
c) Any significant differences in the way UI automated tests are developed for HTML5/AngularJS apps (vs Silverlight apps)?
I have searched the forums as well as the Version History files - info seems pretty limited in those areas (let me know if I missed anything).
To my fellow users: If you have used/are using Test Studio to write UI automated tests against a HTML5 (AngularJS or otherwise), it would be great to get your perspective on the above questions and/or any feedback on your experience that you are willing to share.

Yes Test Studio supports HTML5 and AngularJS in general.
On your questions:
1) Please make sure that you are always using the latest version, since the latest versions contain bug fixes and improvements.
2) There are some minor known issues for example we do not support the 'contenteditable' attribute in HTML5 but we do have this logged as feature request which you can see here. You can give it a try and test your application, if something comes up you can always submit a support ticket so we can provide wokaround or log bug/feature request.
3) No significant differences in the way that the test are developed/created.
Should you have any particular issue please let us know and provide more details.

Regarding your response to my first question ...
Our past experiences with upgrades have been mixed - some have gone through smoothly while others have been rocky. We have had to postpone upgrading a couple of times due to issues that we simply could not "live with" - including the last time we tried this last year. Given this, we have to budget significant time to pretest a new version before we adopt it as a team. As a result, we are not able to upgrade as frequently as the versions released or as we would like.
Given the above situation, I cannot guarantee that we will be able to upgrade to the latest the next time (which we expect to be soon). We will certainly try - but knowing which version is the minimum version and which version has sufficient functionality for HTML5/AngularJS would help us know how far we can roll back (should that be necessary) without losing significant functionality as far as HTML5/AngularJS goes.
Regarding your comment about testing against our HTML5 app ...
All our current work is with Silverlight and our current version (2012.1.420, I believe) is more than sufficient for this. My questions on AngularJS are currently for research/evaluation purposes only at this point. With regard to this, do you know of any sites (or does Telerik have any test sites set up) which are implemented using AngularJS - that I could use for testing purposes?
Also, any input on what migrating tests from Silverlight to HTML5/AngularJS might entail? Should I expect it to be a complete rewrite or is it possible to leverage some aspects of Silverlight tests and reuse it against HTML5/AngularJS?

Please note that there is no specific Test Studio version which does not support HTML5. Simply in newer versions the support gets extended since known issues and bug are getting fixed, that is why I am advising you to use the latest version. Please note that this is not obligatory, feel free to upgrade whenever is convenient for you and your team.
Unfortunately we do not have AngularJS test site we can provide for testing.
