Test Studio integration with Aurelia

Hello

I hope you can help - I am trying to record and playback tests on Aurelia, a SPA Framework that we have started using but, when i play back the test - it cant find any of the elements or properties in the DOM so fails.

Any help you have would be greatly appreciated!

Please note that it is impossible for Test Studio to integrate with every single framework. As we never tested Aurelia apps in order to assist you further we will need access to the tested application as well as your test, so we can take a look and advise further.

Thanks for your response.  I am unable to provide you with a link to the test application as its in our local network and would not work for you - however I can screen share with you via teamviewer so  you can take a look at my test and application on my machine if you are able to do that?

Feel free to start testing and experimenting. In case of a problem with Test Studio you can provide more details for investigation.
Please note in case of a bug or problematic behavior we really need to be able to reproduce the behavior in-house in order to assist further.

Hi Ivaylo

The main issue is that nothing will 'Click' no matter what I try and add into the element.

The attached screen shots show a couple of examples - the first one "1 Element Capture Error" is from clicking on "Customer Service" link however when I checked the element - it was actually pointing to another link.

the second one "2 ElementSayingPassed" is from the playback of this incorrect element capture whereby Telerik is saying its passed but actually - nothing was clicked (even the incorrect link) and the page is still on the main search page.

the third image "3 ElementFoundLeftClick" is a step I built which correctly finds the link I want to click bu using the left mouse click function, however - image 4 "4 ElementSayingPassedLeftClick" has the same issue as image 2 whereby its saying its passed but it hasn't clicked it.

I have 'simulate real click' checked too.

Like I say I can give you remote access to my machine in order for you to take a look but I am unable to give you access to our Aurelia system as its solely on our test environment at the moment.

Hello Maria,

Due to the nature of the problem we will need local repro in order to investigate further. Since everything passes it is hard to investigate what is happening only from screenshots. For Test Studio everything looks like executed correctly. You can enable annotations and execute your test and observe where the clicks are performed. 

We can do a quick meeting this week in order to look at this behavior, what is your time zone and availability for the rest of the week?
