Hello, as the subject suggests, I tried using the capture browser function in one of my test lists, and the resulting image in the log file is not at all what I expected, it only captures the top left of my browser, is there any way to specify the parameters, has anyone else encountered this issue as well?

Hello Daniel,

I am sorry to hear that the Capture Browser step does not get the expected image of the full browser. You mentioned that this happens in Chrome. Does it happen with other browsers, too? Can you tell me what is the version of Test Studio, Chrome and Windows you are using?

Based on the details I have so far about the behavior, I can formulate a guess and suggestion for you. I assume that the Windows Monitor scaling factor is not set to 100% or the browser is not calibrated. Go through the steps below to check both and make the necessary changes.

  1. Change Windows Monitor (Display) scaling factor to 100%. This will ensure consistent recording and execution behavior across multiple browsers and machines in your environment.
  2. Use automatic browser calibration from Test Studio to calibrate the browser settings. You can restore the browser settings and calibrate them again to re-apply them. You can find valuable information about Chrome browser in this article.

I tested the Capture Browser step with the latest Test Studio release, latest Chrome browser and fully updated Windows 10 on my end and it capture the correct image. If you continue to experience any troubles, please follow up with more details and I will be happy to continue our discussion further.
