Hello, I found that Test Studio is unable to close the alert dialog in Chrome at the step of 'Handle Alert Dialog' provided by Test Studio. I tried to record the test step again to close the dialog, but unfortunately the step cannot be recorded as well.

The exception detail is like this:

ArtOfTest.Common.Design.Exceptions.ExecutionException: Timed out waiting '20000' msec. for any dialog to be handled '1' ---> System.TimeoutException: Timed out waiting '20000' msec. for any dialog to be handled '1'
at ArtOfTest.WebAii.Win32.Dialogs.BaseDialog.WaitUntilAnyHandled(IEnumerable`1 dialogs, Int32 handleCount, Int64 timeoutMilliseconds, Boolean resetHandleCount)
   at ArtOfTest.WebAii.Design.IntrinsicTranslators.Descriptors.DialogHandlerDescriptor.Execute(Browser browser)
   at ArtOfTest.WebAii.Design.IntrinsicTranslators.Descriptors.DialogHandlerDescriptor.Execute(IAutomationHost browser)
   at ArtOfTest.WebAii.Design.Execution.ExecutionEngine.ExecuteStep(Int32 order)
--- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I'm using the following versions of the product:

Telerik Test Studio version: 2014.4

Chrome Execution version: 2017.2.529.1

Chrome Recorder version: 2017.2.529.0

Any ideas to fix this issue?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Eddie,

Thank you for reaching us out.

Please note that there are plenty of changes introduced with the latest versions of Chrome. With it last update few days ago many of the dialogs logic was changed and it was required to apply some fixes in Test Studio as well. All of these recent and most up-to-date modifications are available in the latest internal build 2017.2.615 published earlier today.

I notices you are using a version of Test Studio issued almost three years ago and upgrading might not be quite convenient for you. However there is no other workaround for the occurred behavior - as browsers are evolving Test Studio should also comply to all latest trends.

Thank you for your understanding!
