I am a new user to "Test Studio". I need some help with the following:

#1) How to setup a Batch Testing in Test Studio so that I can setup multiple scripts to run in a sequential order?

#2) How to setup a schedule to run multiple scripts automatically over night without manual intervention?

#3) How to setup a folder where all the test results (Pass/ Fail) will be available after the over night test run?

Please send me the details steps. Thanks so much.

Hi Jeff, Thank you for taking a look at Test Studio.  Please have a look at our extensive documentation: http://docs.telerik.com/teststudio/features/scheduling-test-runs/overview.  There are many options to choose from for CI, and of course our built-in Test List Scheduling Server.  You can connect up multiple Runtime Agents and execute tests across many agents simulataneously: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHMelWLstFo&t=3s.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Jeff,

Thank you for reaching us out!

As Andy had listed there are plenty of help articles to guide you through your queries. Please find below some further drilled down results to your exact queries.
    1. Test Studio allows you to create test lists to execute some tests in a desired sequence.
    2. To be able to run multiple scripts automatically over night you would need to setup a scheduling environment which could be on a single machine or to include multiple execution servers
    3. Test List results are then stored on the storage server and are accessible through the Test Studio Calendar. These could be also exported then in different formats for further usage.
I would also like to mention that Test Studio provides you the ability to create different reports based on the stored results.

I hope the above detailed information will be helpful to you to find the right solution for your required scenario. Though in case of any further questions do not hesitate to contact us again!

@Andy: Thanks very much for your fast and accurate involvement into this discussion!

    Hi Elena/ Andy,

Thanks so much for your detail response.Really appreciate it.

After reviewing the documentation. I have decided to go with "All-in-one installation for local execution".

So I have followed the instructions and installed the following on my personal laptop:

    (1) Scheduling Server, (2) Storage Service including MongoDB.

Then went to Test Studio> Test List. Selected 2 scripts to run from Test List 1.

However it's throwing a "Compilation Error" when trying to run the Test List.

Please see the attached .zip folder that has the Screenshots and Error Log.

Please advise what needs to be done to fix this.

    Thanks & Regards!

    Hello Jeff,

Thank you for all your efforts to read the help articles.

Probably there is a compilation error within your project which might not concern the two tests included in the test list. Though, when trying to execute a test list the whole project is compiled and if there is error anywhere it won't be compiled.

Please double check the Output panel and if there are any errors listed there. Please resolve these and then give a try to the test list execution again. Would that work that time?

I am looking forward to hearing from you!
