Test runs fine but not in a test list
Also, I have test steps in a few tests that fail on execution but pass when I edit them
It says validation passed! but still fails
I tried changing the wait time and convert to wait

Hi Sebastian,

For the first issue there is a problem with VB projects in the 1421 build, is yours a VB one? You can try the latest internal build (check this page from your account to get it) which includes a couple of bug fixes over the official release.

As to the second problem I'm not sure I understand it based on your explanation. Can you please elaborate more on that? Can you send the test execution log for us to review so that we can find how the test fails and also let us know what do you mean by editing that? Some screen captures will help us understand the problem and hopefully be able to assist in resolving it quickly.

All the best,

I'm using the QA Edition 2010.3.1213.0
Nothing is in code-
For the 2nd part-
When I say edit I mean right click on a step and choose edit
You can click on the link provided by Web UI to have it show you
Expected and what was on the page, as far as text goes
I get the passed message but durring execution I get a red fail on the same step

I had a whole test that would bomb out durring execution in a test list but not when excuted from th record tab

Hi Sebastian,

please go ahead and send us your test project - we'd like to try to reproduce the problem. If you don't want to make it public, please open a support ticket and attach it to that. A support ticket is private.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Kind regards,
