Hi,

Does WebUI QA supports the test execution starting from a particular step? like if i want to execute a test from step 10. currently whenever i start excecution it open the internet browser internaly and then start execution from the start.

In other words if i want to execute a particular test step only on the existing opened browser. How can i do this in WebUI QA?

Thanks,
Saima

Hi Saima,

I dont think there is a direct way to start the script at a particular step, instead you can uncheck the first 9 steps of your script and start the test. This will make the script to start at step 10.

To answer your second question of executing a step in an already opened browser, I dont think this is currently possible with WebUI Test Studio. I tried to do this and could not find an option. You can also refer to forum: http://www.telerik.com/automated-testing-tools/community/forums/webui-test-studio-qa-edition/general-discussions/how-to-execute-test-script-from-opened-browser.aspx.

Thanks,
Mithul.

Hello,

That's right, we don't have this option currently available in the product. We have been contacted with requests like this and have such feature filed in our ToDo list. You will surely find it implemented in the product for a future version.
