Fellow Testers,
I have been in QA at my job for about 8 months now, and I was recently transitioned into our Automated testing role using Telerik.
Our product is in the healthcare field, and one of our tasks is to extract a specific piece of data (called the RX_ID) from within the code, and marry it to the already completed automated tests. Currently, looking at the Telerik software, it seems as though the reporting function will not allow you to pull in other data other than what's defaulted in the report.
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

Hello Rubas,

Thank you for your interest in our product. I will do my best to guide you and provide additional information to help you with your test scenario.

You can extract the text value from an element in your application with the built in extraction step and use that value in the following steps as data binding. That way, you can extract the RX_ID data. You can also access the extracted variable in a coded step, please check the details here.

The Report in Test Studio is designed to show the success and fail rates of you test list execution and give you an overview of the automation. I understand that you want to see other details about your tests, so please share more details on that. I will appreciate, if you can elaborate more on the exact test scenario and reports that you are interested in and possibly provide an example. We can discuss what are your options at this point and see if there are things to improve.

I am looking forward to hearing from you and continue our discussion.

Regards,
