Hello,

After updating my Firefox to 45.1.0, all the Telerik extensions became disabled. The reason is these extensions could not be verified for use in Firefox.

Has anyone else met this kind of problem?

Many thanks and please advise,

Peiyuan

This is due to the plugins not being signed. You can override this by allowing unsigned addons to be installed in Firefox. Navigate to about:config and set xpinstall.signatures.required to false.

Please do keep in mind that this might pose a security risk.

Thanks Jesse! I also want to have an idea about how soon could Telerik get their addons signed in Firefox.

Hello Peiyuan,

Thank you for your interest in Telerik Test Studio.

The only extension that is not signed is the Exploratory Testing Extension. Playback and Recording extensions are signed and working fine. Probably there was a newer version of the extensions and after upgrading your browser you had to upgrade them as well.

Currently there is no estimation time when the Exploratory Extension would be signed.

Please let me know if you need further information on the topic. Hope to hear from you soon.

We are currently having this same issue with the firefox recorder.  And since the chrome recorder keeps crashing I am hoping you could tell me when this will be fixed.  Firefox shows last updated Aug. 2017.

Hi Adrienne,

Thanks for reaching us out.

Please note that you are referring to a post from over an year ago. In the context of browsers which are being constantly updated, improved and even completely changed as structure I would recommend to submit new issue and provide specific details for the currently experienced misbehavior.

Anyways, I suppose you are not using the latest unified extension distributed for Firefox which is designed to use the latest Firefox APIs. As of the 57th version of the browser the old extensions will be no longer supported. Please review the details listed here - double check the current versions of Test Studio and FF you have and upgrade these accordingly if necessary.

Please note that Chrome also has a new extension released as of Test Studio R3 release (v.2017.3.1010) - here is the respective information.

I hope this will be useful to you. In case of further queries do not hesitate to contact us again. Thanks!
