    Hello,
    I will describe the scenario:
    - I have machine A acting as an Authoring Machine with Telerik Test studio

    - I have machine B running the Runtime Edition

From Machine A I have a Tes List and in its settings, under the "Web" Tab I have selected Chrome as Browser and in the ExecutingBrowser as well.
On Machine B (Runtime) I have installed either Internet Explorer and Chrome.
When I run the list remotely the browser being opened in machine B is always Explorer even though I have selected Chrome. Even more, on the Runtime "Process History" it says that the Browser is Chrome but that's not true as IE is the one being launched.

I would like to know if you could give me some hints on this.
    Regards,

    Hello Aplicaciones,

Thank you for the case scenario details provided.

Would you provide additional information to understand better where could be the problem.

     - Which version of the product do you use on both machines - local and remote? If it is not the same versions - you'll have to make the versions same. If not using the latest version - does this problem reproduces with the last version of the product (2017.2.615)?
     - Do you schedule the test list using the UI of the product or run the test in command line?
     - Would you provide the remote log when reproducing the problem? Please make sure to clear it first before to reproduce to have only the necessary data in it.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kind Regards,

2017.2.615.0 on both machines.I do Schedule the test from the UI.

Luckily, currently is working but I haven't changed this behavior on purpose. So, as soon as I face the issue again I will provide the log.

    Hello again,

Unfortunately, I am experiencing again the same behavior except this time I need to run it with a different browser (Firefox).
So, I have configured again everything pointed to be run with FireFox. That is, on the machine A (Authoring) under Settings -> Browsers ->Preferred browser: FireFox
Then, on the Test Lists Tab under "Edit Settings" ->Web -> Browser FireFox. In addition, ExecutingBrowsers -> FireFox only.
On the machine B( Runtime) I have calibrated FireFox .
But the browser being launched is Chrome instead of FireFox  :(

This time I attach you the log file and a screenshot  which shows FireFox as the Browser while it is actually running Chrome instead.
    Please let me know.

I am still experiencing the same issue. I need to run it on FireFox. I have uninstalled Chrome on purpose and this is the output.

I don't know why is looking for Chrome while It's configured to run on Firefox as the screenshot shows.

    Hello,

Unfortunately I could not reproduce the problem. Please confirm that your test list settings are configured as shown on the attached screen-shot.

If the problem persist try to create new test list and adjust its settings accordingly. If this works it means that for some reason the changes you did on the project were not updated in the storage server data base. An approach to such problem could be to remove testlists collection from the MongoDb as described here (point 3.2).

I hope that it would help.

    Hello Nikolay,

    Thanks for your reply.

    - I have exactly the same version : local and remote: 2017.2.615.
    - I schedule the Test using Telerik test Studio UI
    - No, my Test List Settings were not configured as shown on the attached screen-shot.  In "Browser" I have set FireFox as well.

In any case, I have done all that you mentioned. That is, set the Test List Setting as described on the screen-shot.
In addition, I have created a new Test List with those settings as well.
Besides, I have dropped the DB but it still runs with Chrome instead of Firefox :(

Here I send 2 logs file: One before dropping and other log file after dropping the DB just in case it might help.

PS : I 'm curious about why should I have the "Browser" as "No set" instead of "FireFox"

Let me know if you need further information.
    Regards,

    Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for the additional information provided.

Once you dropped the database the problem could be related to the test properties only. Please check if the test in the test list had set "BrowserType" property as shown on the attached screen-shot. Only it could override the test list settings.

It is not necessary to set "Browser" property to "NotSet". It should works as you set the properties as well.

I hope that this would resolve the problem.
