I'm setting up Web UI QA ver 2010.3.1421.0
IE8 on Vista 64 SP2
The browser is setup to run with Web UI and Vista
When I get projects from the TFS 2010 everything is good except I don't get all the log files on the Results cal
I also can not run Test Lists I know work for other people on site
If I execute a test from the record tab it runs fine, just not the test list

Hi Sebastian,

I'm sorry for the trouble you're experiencing.

That sounds like a known issue but let's make sure about that. Is that a project with code in VB? Please follow the instructions I also posted here and let us know what you get from the results log.

Best wishes,

Hi Sebastian,
this sounds exactly like the known issue Kosio is describing. Please go ahead and uninstall your current version of WebUI Test Studio. Then and install the previous official release which you can find here:
http://www.telerik.com/downloads/productfiles/bahmg/WebUI_TestStudio_QA_2010_3_1213_Dev.msi
This is only a temporary solution until we release an internal build which fixes this issue.
I apologize for the inconvenience!

That seem to have fixed most of my issues
But-  when I go to the results tab, sometimes the results are gone
Then I try to (reload from server) and boom the program gets slow and crashes in the end

Also
fixing test steps
when I try to make a change to a test step and run the test again, it hangs at the end of the test
and the DOS looking box wont auto close
Then I have to hit abort a bunch of times and close the DOS box with the X
Then I change the step back and it still wont run through
No code involved

One of the tests I just ran had (step did not execute) on every step
I watched as it ran all the way through?
the first step is a (test as step)5 step login test that runs fine, all green, by itself
ideas?

I've got the exact problem nailed down now
I can not run two test in Web UI without restarting
After the first one the next test will hang at the end
I have to exit the program and open it again
then I can run another test
It sucks I have to keep going through this cycle to get any work done

Hi Sebastian,

We do have a known issue where, on a few rare machines, if your run the test with the Visual Debugger enabled and the test fails, the runner will not properly shut down. If the test passes, or you run your test without the debugger (see attached screen shot) the runner shuts down just fine.

Are you getting the exact same behavior? We are trying to track down the source of this problem. So far we have been unable to replicate it in-house which is making it difficult for us to find the source of this problem.

Best wishes,

After grasping at straws I found the issue
It was a problem with my IE8 only
I installed IE9 and it works fine just not with Web UI yet
So I uninstalled IE9 and it reset IE8 like a new install
Then IE8 can now run test after test without a restart
