We are trying to use the test framework to test a .NET Core WPF application using .NET Core xUnit tests.  The test framework appears to only support the full .NET Framework 4.5.  Is there a .NET core version that we can use or is there a timeline for getting the test framework on the .NET Core/5 path?

Hi Scott,

Probably you have checked our System requirements for supported frameworks - this is the .Net 4.5 or higher. I have to admit, though, that the .Net Core framework is not supported in Test Studio. There is a public feature request on the topic, which you can review in our feedback portal here.

In addition I have to share that including support in Test Studio for .Net Core is not listed in the product's road map for now. Though, I will keep your feedback on the topic how you intend to use Test Studio with the .Net Core and will share this with the management team. It will be of further help for us if you let me know what your company requirements are about developing applications with .Net Core framework. What part of your development you intend these to be and what impact you see if Test Studio does not support automating WPF apps developed in .Net Core?

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in advance.

Regards,
Elena
