Hello. May I ask a question about execution of test steps?

When I executed my test after recording, it always began with the step of opening the link of the website. In our scenario, we paused after Test Studio opened the website, and then manually logged in to the website first. After that we run execution to let Test Studio to automate form fillings with multi-rows of data source from Excel. Ideally, the automation can repeat itself without re-opening the browser., but it seems as though the initial step of opening website can not be skipped after my first iteration.

Is there a way for Test Studio to run the initial step once only while keeping the remaining form filling steps running through the end row of data?

Thank you in advance and look forward to your reply.

Harry

Hi Tong,

Test Studio allows you to organize your tests in small set of steps and then reuse these as steps in other more complex test scenarios. When having that type of multi-layer tests you have different options for data binding the tests and depending on the chosen structure you can see different outcome during execution. Please, take the time to check the following article, which describes the possible options for combining multi-level tests and data binding

I hope this information will be of further help for you.
