Hi Team,

We are  able to execute our test scripts against IE 8 but are stuck with IE 6.0.
Please refer the link: "http://www.telerik.com/automated-testing-tools/community/forums/webui-test-studio-developer-edition/webaii-automation-framework/ie-6-webaii-problems.aspx"

Please let me know if there is any MSI available for IE 6.0 support.

FYI: The AUT includes sliver light, AJax, Java controls etc.

Thanks
Tapan

Hello Tapan,

You can try this version of Test Studio which supports Internet Explorer 6, but have in mind that this version is out of date and we can't offer you a support if you have any troubles related with it.

Hi Plamen,

Thanks for sharing the build.

I am unable to Activate this new build. The error message is "Your Trial has Expired or there is no trial in your account for this product...."
Have already tried by registering new user i.e. tapang@synechron.com, but still get the same error message.

Regards
Tapan

Hi Plamem,

Let me try out the installation in a fresh machine and get back to you in case this issue still persists.

Also I have the following query,
1. We are planning to buy a Telerik Test Studio License, please let us know about the Global License settings.
i.e. If we install the license in our location i.e. India office can our clients access it from US office.
Ony one person will be using at a given time..

2. Our application is being used by users running IE 6.0 browser, so please let us know if support is available
in case of any issues we face in our application while executing the scripts.

3. Please let us know your direct contact number so that if required we can discuss the above points..

Seems the trail period has expired for the build "Support-Telerik.WebUI.TestStudio.QA.2010.2.830.msi", please increase the trail period, as post installation it displays Success message but next page it displays "Trail version has expired"
Am using the user login as tapangandhi@yahoo.com.

Also, while installing this build am still getting the prompt that only IE 7.0 is supported, please can you confirm whether this is the correct build which is going to support IE 6.0 browser ?

Please find attached screen shot.

Hi Tapan,

I made a couple adjustments to your account, you should now be able to activate the archive version of WebUI Test Studio.

It is true that IE 7 or above is required for recording, however with this build, tests can be executed on a remote system using IE6.

Hope this helps - please let us know how it goes!

Kind regards,

Hi Team,

I have one more query.

If we purchase 3 Test Studio licenses and are having 5 users with Test Studio installed, please let me know how the activation of license works.
Is there a license manager which we install in a separate machine and will allows only 3 activations ?

Regards
Tapan

Hello Tapan,

Test Studio communicates with our own licensing server over the Internet. Licensing is done on a "per machine" basis, meaning you may activate the product on up to 3 machines concurrently (based on your 3 licenses). Any number of users may use the software on the activated machines - usually one person at a time. You have the option of installing and activating Test Studio on  a shared virtual machine which multiple users may access.

There is also the Deactivate feature (see attached screenshots). Using this feature you can deactivate the software on one machine so you can activate it on another machine.

We do not have any sort of "license manager" that you can install in your environment.

I hope that answers your questions.

Cody
