Hello Waylon,

Test Studio supports verifying an element's color:
  1. Enable Hover over highlighting.
  2. Hover over the desired element and click the blue nub.
  3. Choose Build Verification.
  4. Choose Style from the Available Verifications.
  5. Choose ColorAndBackground from the second drop-down.
  6. Edit the next drop-downs to suit your needs.
If you mean that the color only changes when you mouse hover, then you can take advantage of the new Freeze Mode. Press the Scroll Lock key to lock the browser UI in its current state and perform your verifications.

Keep in mind a manual mouse hover step may need to be recorded as well.

Kind regards,

Hi, Thanks for quick response. Seems I used Scroll Lock key locking the browser UI, then click verification, the issue is the image verification is un-clickable, still can't verify the highlight color.

Hello Waylon,

I recommend crafting an advanced test verification, outlined here. From the Sentence Verification Builder you can change the target color manually.

Although not exactly like your scenario, I think this video has pertinent information for you. It demonstrates how to use the DOM explorer to locate an element that is not visible on screen and perform a Verification on it. Similarly, you can locate your desired background color in the DOM, create a Verify step on it, and move that step after your mouse hover step.
