Hello,

I'm working on a test that verifies the download of a large file using the "Handle 'Download' dialog" test step. It works in IE, but does not in Chrome and Firefox. The problem with Chrome and Firefox is that the test step does not wait until the download has completed and passes/proceeds to the next step before the download is finished. Any ideas as to why this would be?

FYI the "Handle 'Download' dialog" test step properties are:

  • DownloadPath = DataDriven[$(PathToFile)]
  • HandleTimeout = 300000
  • HandleButton = SAVE
  • InitializationTime = 250

Thanks,

Michael

Hello Michael,

Thank you for provided case related details.

Unfortunately I could not reproduce the reported behavior using latest version (2017.3.1010) of the product, browsers and Test Studio extension. Please provide the versions information and the size of the file you are trying to download. Are the browsers calibrated after installing the extensions?

Thank you in advance for the additional information.

Best Regards,
