Hi,

I recently downloaded the free trial for Telerik test Studio and created several tests for our Silverlight application.

When the tests are run individually they are working fine. However, when I run the tests consecutively in a Test List some of the elements are not found and an 'Element not found' exception is thrown. In particular this is the case with a checkbox and a textbox element.

Is there a way to solve this issue?

Thanks

Hello Oliver,

I am sorry to hear that there are some issues with the Test List execution. This is certainly not expected, as the Test List feature actually executes the tests 1 by 1. I need your help to better understand what is happening and try to help you with this misbehavior. Please share more details on the topics below.

  • When the test list start to execute, do you see anything unexpected in the application under test? It might be something like not fully loaded state of the application, or a visually missing element.
  • Do you execute the test list on the same machine with Test Studio, without a scheduling server and setup? In other words, do you execute the test list from the Run List button in the Test Lists tab?
  • Clear/Enable the Test Studio application log and run the test list once again. When it finishes, please gather the generated log and zip it with your next reply. I will analyze it and track what is happening during execution.
  • Export and attach also the step failure details from 1 or 2 of the failing tests steps and attach them to your next message. I would like to inspect those details in combination with the above mentioned application log.
  • Please try to create a new Test Studio project against a publicly accessible application, that reproduces the misbehavior. Then attach that project for investigation, so I can explore the configurations and try to reproduce it on my end.

I hope that the above details will help me provide better assistance for this issue and quickly resolve it. Thank you for your cooperation in advance.
