e.g: In my application 2 drop down 1. City 2. State (it's multi select drop down)

When i select option in 1st drop down then in 2nd drop down i am able to select option. When i select option in 1st drop down it's show me Select 'By value' option '1' on 'Select'. and then select option from 2nd drop down its shows me "Click <State Name>Link". now i want to use local data. How can i use local data for this 2nd drop down?

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Test Studio.

To be able to help you in this case - would you provide further information:

 - screenshot of this second dropdown element in the DOM
 - what is the nature of this dropdown - is it a Kendo UI element, basic HTML5 "select" element etc.?

If the step you recorded on the second dropdown can be data-binded you may follow this directions to bind it to the local data.

I hope to hear from you soon.

This is multi select drop down. when i recorded that time it shows me "Click '201On1stLink'. when record other drop down that time shows me Click '<Value of drop down>Link'.

Now how i can use data bind in this functionality?

Also i have question regarding Data driven. Can we write Test Result in Excel or CSV file?

Hello,

Basically, you may data-bind a test step from its properties. Refer to the attached screenshot for clarifications, please.

Here you may find more about the data-binding feature of Test Studio.

The results can be exported in xls file format. In this article are posted the additional details.
