I'm using the Download dialog step to download an XLSX file from our webapp. I set the export path in code, and data drive the path. Timeout is set to 75000ms with a 1000ms initialization time.

    - Works perfectly in IE, exactly how I would expect.

    - Chrome is opening the dialog, and it is filling it in and downloading the file, however that's all it does. Once the file finishes downloaded, it just sits on the webpage until it times out.

Adding a delay between the clicking of the button and the handling of the dialog did nothing.

    Hi Aaron,

    Thank you for contacting us.

As far as I could see you are using an old version of Test Studio - 2014.3. In the past year we have detected problems with the download dialog in Chrome for its different versions which were addressed and already fixed.

I would like to kindly inform you that as of our next official release 2017.3 new extensions will be introduced to support the latest Chrome and Firefox versions. All previous Test Studio releases and extensions will not be compatible with the latest Chrome and Firefox versions.

Thank you for your understanding. Please do not hesitate to contact us again in case of further queries.

    Hey Elena,

I'm definitely using the latest (as far as I can see) updates available. The ones from the end of August. Please refer to my attached screenshots.

    Hi Aaron,

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

Please excuse me for the incorrect assumption but the older version was listed in the section for product details in the current thread. If you are using your Test Studio license with another account you could use it as well to submit tickets from the respective Telerik account.

Anyways, the issue you are facing was already identified and fixed and will be available in the official release along with the new extensions which I mentioned in my previous reply.

Therefore I would like to kindly ask for some patience on your end until the R3 release is issued out next week. Thanks in advance for your understanding!
