Hi,

I have downloaded WebUI test studio for Qa edition and recorded the following test using the recorder in IE.
In my project, I have created a new entry in a grid and saved the entry.
Then I stopped the test and saved it.
While executing the test, it is showing the recorded entry in the grid and this execution is created another duplicate entry in the grid.
Each time an duplicate entry is created in the grid while executing the test.

How to resolve the problem?.

thanks

Hi sabarishbabu,

I am sorry to hear that this is going on for you. It sounds like your test is designed to:

  1. Open a calendar
  2. Create a reservation within the calendar

Since the test is designed to repeat itself, until a step is added to remove the reservation you will continue to be asked to edit the item (since it cannot be re-created). I see in your other inquiry you described something similar. I would agree that your best next step would be to add steps to your test that remove the entry. This way when you re-run the test the data will not already be present, and you will be able to have a valid test for the application.

If you need help with doing this for your project, attach the project file in your reply. There are a couple of things to watch for when supplying us with files:

  • Files can only have the following extensions: .zip; .rar; .ace; .jpg; .gif; .css; .png.
  • Make sure you click the Attach Files button before you send the file to us. The Attach Files button actually uploads and packages the file to be sent (the select section only allows you to choose the files, but does not upload them).

Please let us know if you need assistance with adding this type of facet to your test.

Best wishes,
