Comparing Extracted Values

Hi All,

I have extracted 2 values (numerical) using the extract function in my test.

1. SOHBefore

2. SOHAfter

Haven't done much coding but I want to validate that

SOHBefore minus 5 = SOHAfter

How do I use a coded step for this? C++

Hello Adrian,

As first step you can refer to this introduction to using coded steps in Test Studio. 

Then, here are few topics for the specific scenario you need to complete: 

• You will need to insert an empty coded step and insert the custom solution in it.
• The extracted variables can be used in the coded step as well - you can check this article for using the extractions in code, which provides a sample project for demonstration as well.
• Once you have the values of the extracted variables, you will need to convert these to integer. Here is the documentation for the .Net method Convert.ToInt32.
• Then you can perform the evaluation of the numbers and continue accordingly with the scenario.
