Hi,

I was wondering if anyone out there knows where I can read more about the checkin/checkout features?
I'm wondering if they work similar to how you check in and check out file sin SHAREPPOINT; where in this case, you would check out test scripts to edit, and prevent another team member from editing your script.
Anybone know the answer to this?

tks

Hi juan espejo,

I replied to your ticket on this same subject, but thanks for posting it here. I will respond with the same thing I posted in the ticket as it may help others who view this thread.

There is no file locking in the QA version, but we can add that as a feature request. Dev edition has this with Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server.

When working on a test, after modifying it, you would only need to CheckIn. If there are any conflicts on CheckIn, WebUI will notify you of them and then the merge tool will be displayed to merge the conflicts with the server.

The Checkout option is available if you choose to use it, but it's recommended use is only really when something unexpected happens like a crash.

All the best,
