I tried to run a simple recording test to see if it would record a silverliht app. I browsed to silverlight.net and clicked on showcase and then tried to hover on a silverlight control....no blue dot shows up to enable recording any events etc.

Hi Martin,
Thank you for contacting us and your question.
You need to enable the hover over highlighting to get the nob. If you still don't get anything highlighted on moving the mouse over the elements on the page, please also try the Reconfigure Recorder option as in the attached images. As soon as the nob appears you can click it to get the elements menu of the respective Silverlight control.
