I'm trying to install WebAii 2010.3 then facing a problem that the Add-on is not loaded into IE8. When I select "Manage Add-ons" in IE8, there's no WebAii extentions in the list of neither currently loaded nor all add-ons. I see ArtOfTest.InternetExplorer.dll in the installed folder. Can anyone point me to the right solution? My machine is as follows.

OS: Windows 7 32 bits (VPC)
Browser: IE8
VS: VS2010

Thanks in advance
Masashi

Hello Dragon,

Do not fear. We eliminated this add-on when we released our Q3 version two months ago i.e. 2010.3.1109. We are working on removing references to this add-on in our documentation. Can you tell me where you saw reference to the add-on?

Are you having any technical problem using WebUI Test Studio?

Best wishes,
Cody

Hi Cody,

Thanks for the immediate reply. Actually I have a problem running my existing tests. When I execute the following it launches IE8 with blank page but raises a timeout exception saying "wait for condition is timeout: Then I though it might be the problem that there's no add-on in IE.

Manager.LaunchNewBrowser(BrowserType.InternetExplorer);

I followed the instruction written here. Is there anything else I should do?

Hello Dragon,

If you were running a Server version of Windows I'd point you to the Server configuration documentation... but it appears you're using Win 7 so that doesn't apply.

See if this KB article helps.

Kind regards,

The problem was solved. I didn't change anything but it's working now.

Thanks
