I ran into an issue that requires immediate attention. One of my colleague install trial version 2011.1.502.0 yesterday. I have been testing/evaluating your trial version 2010.3.1125.0. When my colleague tried to load test cases created by 2010.3.1125.0 with the new version, he got a message, “…it will not load in the older version however create a backup project for you…”

My question is there a way to load test cases created by an older version of Test Suite into the newer version of Test Suite and still be able to add/edit and modify the test cases before execution? Is there a work around for this?

Hi rakib,

The new version of Test Studio needs to modify the internal structure of your tests in order to be compatible with all the new features of the 2011.1.502 version of Test Studio. I am sorry but once the test project is upgraded it is no longer backward compatible. It is very important that all machines (both development machines and test execution machines) that use your test project use the same version of Test Studio so that you do not have such backward compatibility problems.
