Hi,
We are using the webaii framework to create our web testing application. We were using WebAii Testing Framework 2010.1 and now wish to shift to Testing Framework 2011.1 to use the advanced features.
What is the best way to upgrade? Do we need to manually delete and add references? Also noticed that ArtOfTest.Common is missing in the new version.
Cheers,
Souvika

Hi Souvika,
You can go ahead and upgrade to the latest framework release. You may even want to wait a couple of days to get the improved 2011.1 framework as Service Pack 1. This release is scheduled for Thursday, 9th of June.
If you're writing your tests via Visual Studio you may also want to check this KB. As to the .Common namespace, it's still there but as part of the ArtOfTest.WebAii assembly.
Should you have more questions please do not hesitate to contact us again,
Best wishes,

Hi Konstantin,
I am using the latest internal build and our existing product using webaii testing framework is now compiling OK. Thanks.
We need to add the functionality to be able to test wpf application. Can you please post/point to an example how to do that? Say for example I need to write something on a text box and click a button to do something. Is there any example document available for wpf on how to launch and connect to wpf app?
Also will the testing framework work for application written in MVVM?

Hi Konstantin,
Can you please provide us with a code sample to connect to a wpf executable (windows app) using the latest testing framework and some samples of how to find by name of xaml objects and write text - for example textbox and invoke button ASAP please. We need to evaluate urgently if the framework is good enough for the wpf/MVVM apps.
We are already using the framework for our web applications therefore we were wondering if the same can be extended for WPF apps, etc..
Thanks.
Kind Regards,
Souvika

Hi Souvika,
the documentation on WPF testing with the Framework is still under construction. I added an article explaining a basic example, check it out here:
http://www.telerik.com/automated-testing-tools/support/documentation/user-guide/telerik-testing-framework/wpf-test-automation.aspx
You can expect more content to appear in the upcoming days.
