Hi experts,

I am facing one issue with the Telerik TestStudio. In test studio when I am navigating to "Test" tab and then to the select computer option and then trying to connect, its not getting connected to the server. As per the demo video, it's connected to the local machine. Similarly, I am getting the local PC name in the drop down but once selected, it is showing the following error message (check the attached image):

We could not connect to that computer at this time. It might be because:
  • The computer name is not correct
  • It is not accessible through your current network settings
  • The computer's load controller service is a different release version than this copy of Test Studio.

As I am trying to connect to the same machine (as shown in the drop down), so the name is correct and there should not be any network issues.

So, what could be an issue here? I did try to analyse about it but didn't find any solution. Please help me to understand about the issue and the steps to fix it. Waiting for your kind reply.

Hello Atul,

Thank you for trying Test Studio.

It seems you have not configured the Load Services.  Please start up the "Configure Load Services" application from Start > All Programs > Telerik > Test Execution > Configure Load Test Services and configure them according this article.

Make sure all the Load testing-related service are running.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi Atul,

Is Excel installed on that machine? If so, what version of Excel are you currently using? Have you installed a new version recently?

I've seen that error solved in previous cases by following the instructions here. Please give that a try and let me know if it helps.

Please check out these articles for more detailed information about data driven testing.

Hope this helps.

Hello Atul,

I am sorry to hear you are still experiencing this issue.

In which version did you create your excel file?

Please try to recreate it again in Microsoft Excel 2010 and bind the new file to the test.

I didn't understand did you check out this article?

Another options is to send me the trace log of Test Studio for further investigation. Please first clear the log then reproduce the issue.

Thank you for your cooperation.
