Test Case - Associated Automation

Hi, please can you tell me what is purpose of associating coded test to Test Case in VS which I saw in your video (Test Studio Integration with Team Foundation Server)? I thought that this is when you need run more advanced test CUI test in MTM? But which advantage I can get associating Test studio test with test case?

Hello,

MTM is able to execute automated tests. The problem is that MTM only understands and deals with Visual Studio "test cases". Thus to enable MTM to run your automated tests you must associate your test with a specific test case. Then in MTM you can instruct it to run your test plan which includes a set of test cases. MTM will then automatically execute the associated specific tests, including a Test Studio automated functional test.
