Hi there,

total newbee here trying to understand what can be done with Test-Studio. So my apologies if the answer is totally obvious. :-)

What kind of WPF control can be tested with the automated testing procedure? I assume all Telerik controls. But how about Microsoft controls or other third party controls?

Cheers,

Jan

Hello Jan,

Thanks for trying Test Studio. Test Studio comes with a set of what we call "translators" that are tailor made to recognize and give you additional functionality for most of our Telerik WPF controls. Our online documentation goes into great detail on what you can do with these translators. Test Studio does recognize 3rd party controls as well. It can identify their elements and act on them. However, Test Studio does not have translators in place for 3rd party controls, so it may not identify the entire control as such. For example, Test Studio will recognize a text input box, but not that it is part of a more complex 3rd party control.

Please let us know if we can help you further.

All the best,
