I'm currently evaluation the QA edition and I'm trying to test out the features of the scheduling engine. I have created a dyanmic test list and have tried to schedule it. I have configured the same machine as the scheduler and execution server.

When I try the retrieve the results from the calendar I double click on the event entry (still yellow) and it tell me that the event has run already and if I want to refresh the view. It refreshes the view and my event disappears!

Have I done something wrong? I'm not convinced the test even ran - I certainly didnt see anything on the desktop. I have the execution server running on my taskbar but it doesnt show any tests have run.

What do you suggest I try to debug this?

Hello Ryan,
    check out this KB article:
http://admin.telerik.com/%22http://www.telerik.com/automated-testing-tools/support/kb/scheduling/resolving-some-common-scheduling-issues.aspx

Also, check check out the Scheduling Log:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Telerik\WebUI Test Studio 2010.3\Bin\Telerik.WebUITestStudio.Scheduling.Log
you'll probably find some clue as to what's going there. Paste the error here - I want to take a look too.

Hope to hear from you soon!

I have managed to get the scheduler to run one of my test test lists.

Here's are my notes that I took as I trouble-shot the problems.

There is no log file at C:\Program Files (x86)\Telerik\WebUI Test Studio 2010.3\Bin\Telerik.WebUITestStudio.Scheduling.Log

The only log files in that directory as Licence.log, SchedulingClient.log and SchedulingServerConfig.log

SchedulingServerConfig.log
    ======  ======
    ====== Log Started ====== 21/03/2011 11:06:25

SchedulingClient.log

    ======  ======
    ====== Log Started ====== 21/03/2011 14:21:32
    Reading MainWindow Config!
    Reading MainWindow Config is Successful!
    Minimizing...
    Parent: System.Windows.WindowName:
    Is Connected
    Maximizing...
    Parent: System.Windows.WindowName:
    Minimizing...
    Parent: System.Windows.WindowName:
    MainWindow Closed Started!
    MainWindow Closed Started finally block reached!
    MainWindow Closed - Notify icon is not null!
    MainWindow Closed - IE Controller Disconnect Started!
    MainWindow Closed - Process Kill!

I have change to scheduling server to check for test every 1 minute. And I'm differently waiting longer than that.

The scheduling service is running. In fact it appears to be running constantly at 25% cpu (on quad core). I killed the process manually as it didnt stop using the service manager even though that didnt report an errors. The process just remained running.

The client application is running - confirmed with taskmanager.

The scheduling web service url is correct - confirmed in browser.

The scheduling server and execution server are the same machine. Therefore the folders are obviously accessible and within same domain.
