Hi,

When we run the load test, we noticed that the Reporter signal turns into red indicating that the connection was lost. Our load test run is interrupted and stops. The load test results are not displayed. We would like to know why is this is happening. We tried to restart the services, but still encountering this issue.  We are using Product Version: 2012.2.1420.0.

I hope you could respond asap since this issue is blocking our load test runs.

Thank you.

Hi Kareen,

First thing you should check is whether you have configured the load testing services correctly. Please check out this article.

Check the database connection. Please note that the user that is used to connect to the SQL Server must have Create Database/Read/Write permissions before the Telerik Test Studio Load Reporter service will function properly.

If issue still persists, one source of information to check is the services log for the load testing service. You can find the location in the load testing service configuration. Please follow this article in order to get the services log and send it to us.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello Kareen,

Is Cairo part of your group? I think he already reported this problem in support ticket 750400. He provided the log Boyan just requested. Here's my response on that ticket:

From the log we see this:

Message: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible.
HRESULT: 0x80131904

This means that something is interfering with the Test Studio Load Reporter service connecting to your SQL database. Doing a Google search on 0x80131904 returns many hits. Since this is specific to your computer/environment we are unable to point you where to look, other than to look for something that is hindering/blocking TCP connections to your SQL server from our Load Reporter which runs as a Windows service process.

P.S. Duplicate posting of the same problem causes duplication of effort in my support team, which slows us down answering your other important problems. It would be in your best interest to try to avoid this.

Regards,
Cody
