Hi all,
New release of telerik test studio seems to be make some issues. We are using Test studio Ultimate to automate our silverlight application. There we face data loosing issue in our recorded tests . When we open automated test project we saw that recorded test steps are missing in some automated test. However codes in code behind file is there. It happens to us twice for this week. It seems to be a bug in new release.

Hello Peter,
I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. Please confirm you are using the latest Test Studio version which it 2013.2.1327. You can verify this from the Help tab. If not I strongly recommend you to upgrade.
In case you are using the latest version I would like you to provide more information on how you are reproducing this behavior so I can give it a try on my end. If this is a bug we definitely need to reproduce it locally on our end so we can investigate further. Please confirm you are saving changes after each change made in your project. Also is this happening with one specific project or with multiple projects, if this is a project related issue you can simply use different project. We will need to have a reliable repro in order to investigate further.

Thanks for the reply. During update it says we are using latest version. And we are using test Studio plugin for Microsoft Visual Studio 2012.
After two initial incident we haven't experience it yet. In our solution we have only one project which is used for automation. However since we are committing our changes to our source repository, incident didn't affect much at that time.
We are not able to reproduce it either. It happens to us during following procedure.
1) work on automation project using visual studio and close the project
2) when we are open project in next day we saw that all steps in most of the scripts are missing. However contents available in thoese files exists as before.
If we able to reproduce this issue, we will inform to you guys regarding it.

Hi Ivaylo,
We had to suffered from this issue again. However I was not able to find out proper way to reproduce it. Other than that we experience some times when we unbind the data source from test , visual studio get crashed and restarted.

Hello Suranga,
I am sorry to hear this problem reappeared on your end. We definitely need a proper pattern in order to reproduce it. This might be connected with providing me with the project you are using. Please also confirm that when you make a change you are saving the changes applied.
The problem with removing the binding is also something new you are reporting, I will need some instructions on reproducing it as well.
As soon as you have proper pattern or sequence of actions on how to reproduce those issues please update this ticket and we will be more than happy to investigate and assist you further.

Thanks for the quick response. I know it is difficult to find out solution without having proper pattern.
For Issue 1) I tried many ways to find out pattern but it doesn't work :( . If fails randomly.
For Issue 2) Generally how we do things is
a) Create a test
b) Bind data in Excel file to test .
c) Record test and add coded steps
d) When test is good remove binding and add test to main suite.
During last step 90% of the time visual studio get crashed. However It also seems to be happens during long running only. I tried to record few steps , run it and remove binding it works well.
It may be difficult to track down these kind of issues :(

Hi,
I am facing the similar issue my one of the recorded step is missing.
I am trying to automate a WPF application where in first few screens comes under a wizard mode, here the button below like Next to be identified dynamically and clicked.
I have recorded for each step desired button to be clicked. Once i save the project in TS and reopen the record step or the element under the step is missing.
