Hi Team,

We are encountering an issue in our WebUI automation framework i.e. earlier we had our automation framework with Webaii design canvas 1.1. Now on upgrading the framework to WebUI Telerik we are able to fix all our errors in our objects repository identified earlier with Webaii design canvas 1.1 and our framework build successfully.

Moreover, we have observed that on executing the scripts with objects identified earlier with Webaii design canvas 1.1 it is not identified in UI of the browser. Due to this issue we are not able to execute our UI scripts. As we have about 1000 objects in our object repository so we need to fix this issue, as we can't identified all the objects all again.

Note: 1. On identifying the new objects with Telerik the script execute successfully.
          2. We have also update the latest reference dll files in the framework.

Moreover, we earlier had project.cs file for all the object repository and now we have pages.g.cs, what difference does that make?

Regards,
Dev

Hi Team

One more issue I want to get into your notice, .aii file recorded using webaii 1.1 have underscore in its DOM but object identified using Telerik doesn't have underscore in its DOM.

For example:

Webaii 1.1 Object - Pages.Microsoft_CRM.Frame_Nav.btn_Check
Telerik object - Pages.Microsoft_CRM.FrameNav.btn_Check)

If I try to update the pages.g.cs according the latest one, on build the solution the pages.g.cs jumps back to its previous values.

Due to the above mentioned issues and the this current issue we are unable to execute our scripts.

P.S - 1. We are using CRM application for Automation.
        2. As our objects are around 1000 we can't identify all our object all again.

Kindly provide your feedback as its important task for us.

Dev

Hi Team,

We  have also encountered one more issue, if we record any .aii file using WebUI Test Studio -Telerik. Now on using this .aii in Webaii 1.1 i.e copying this .aii file in Webaii 1.1 framework and compiling it, it throws an error saying 'file is corrupted'.Due this we are unable to build the framework and use the .aii recorded in Telerik.

As we can observe that, .aii recorder in upper version is not supported in lower.

Please can you provide the reason for this issue.

P.S:- The .aii file recorder in using Telerik is successfully compiling in Telerik framework.

Hello GHI team,
In order to to resolve your issue we'll need a sample. Since this is a huge project (1000+ objects) it's not practical for you to send us the entire test project. Instead create a new project and put one or two tests in it. Make sure the problem is still present. We'll provide a solution that will be applicable for all your test.

Post this project in a Support ticket (please note: forum posts and Support tickets are 2 different things). You can file a support ticket from this link:
http://www.telerik.com/account/support-tickets/contact-support-team.aspx?odid=569689&pid=741

Please go ahead and open the ticket - we'll try to get you up and running ASAP!

Greetings,
